Destiny of the Marked - Ep1 Ch 3
Most of the main gang is here! Except one, cause he doesn’t appear in the first episode.

For those who actually follow this tumblr- I’m really sorry no updates have been happening. I’m having issues balancing the project with other things in life/ school/ job hunts etc. I promise one day i’ll get it right and flowing.
For those who read the FB post, i’m trying to possibly do DOTM in a different way, an Illustrated Scriptbook. I don’t know how it’s going to test with audiences but i’m just trying to get it done and to the standard I want.
Anyways, here’s a fixed version of the Estelle and Jensen cover (above).

Soon my friends…soon.
Made some good progress today on Destiny of the Marked (with a sore wrist/ hand btw). Here’s a panel colored from today. E and the rest of the cast are getting kinda restless and are ready to really get this story going, and so am I. Hopefully it won’t be too much longer until i’ll be officially releasing pages every week or two weeks (haven’t decided yet).
let’s hope I can get this comic rolling before the characters start bursting into song…can you do a musical issue in graphic novels? That would be epic.
I swear I’m working on DotM! Here’s some proof of page thumbnails… But they need to be cut down cause im already at 17 pages and still about 4 scenes to go. I’m going for 25 pages for chapter 1!! ^_^
I think with me, at least, coming from a film background makes me want to show every move. Especially in fight scenes and have little dialogue moments where, in film would be easy to put, but here in graphic novel land, means possibly another panel or two that’s not necessary. Things I’m learning…
So please bear with me DotM fans! It will be coming to you, a little later than I’d like, but it will happen! Like I said, first take off is going to be a little bumpy, but hang on for the ride!
Also note, this time, I’ve been talking to friends and letting some others read it and give input and point out things that were confusing or maybe not necessary in the “pilot” as I call it. Formatting for TV or Film is kinda different from comics or novels and I had scenes in Chapter 1 that are now pushed to Ch 2 or later because it was just too much stuff thrown in at once.
Originally, I had a colliding storylines type of beginning, where you have three different stories and by the end of ch2 they collided together and you’re like “oooooh, I get that now, how they all are linked”. Well, considering Ch1 is the selling point to hook people not an entire pilot episode, that didn’t work anymore. But honestly, it’s fine rearranging it. I’m pretty much having to adapt my earlier scripts from “film to comic”.
Good times, good times. But since I promised updates and never gave you guys anything i figured I needed to tell you what’s up.
